Vogue Sass & Bide Beaded Crochet Body Suit 2004

Australian Design Duo Sass & Bide are a creative team of women who push boundaries with design and style. Taking iconic pieces such as a crocheted 1 piece bodysuit and adorning it in a modern way.

They commissioned me to stitch hundreds of glittering metallic sequins to the front bust cup area of this cut away crocheted one piece body suit. It was a chance for me to work on a hand woven fabric with lots of open areas. This was a fabulous experience for me. A challenge and to feel the difference in the hands working with a different medium one that also had stretch qualities to it.
