Delta Goodrem ARIA Awards 2003
A visionary flowing soft pink georgette dress is designed by Lisa Ho and made by the seamstresses at her workrooms in the garment district of Surry Hills, NSW in 2003. With its multi-layers, it is feminine with a vintage quality.
The beading commission is to create beading that has a vintage mood and apply it to a modern garment. Beading that will sparkle under stage lights
Meters of rose coloured crystal Diamante trim was hand stitched onto the dresses vertical seams and around the front and back neck edges of the dress. Lengths of trim were carefully positioned and hand stitched to loosely drape over Deltas shoulders and arms. Moving as she moved. The hand beading continued onto the dress. A light gradation of flesh cup sequins rose gold flat sequins, silver lined pink glass seed beads and 2 cut glass beads were used to embellish each side of the seams on the dress.
Delta Goodrem won 7 awards including Best Female Artist, wearing this dress at the 2003 ARIA awards.
