Tambour Beading Level 2,  MELBOURNE Australia GROUP CLASS

Tambour Beading is a professional hand bead embroidery technique that is performed with a fine hook (a shortened French Cornelli needle) in a holder. This is the technique used to embellish couture garments for the fashion industry in Paris.

This lesson continues on from the introduction to Tambour beading class. There is more beading in this class. Revisiting the chain stitch, in all 4 directions using metallic thread will be the beginning of this class. Moving on, you will attach bugle beads in 3 sizes and seed beads in 2 sizes.  Lapping flat sequins in lines will also be covered as will the circle cup sequin shape connection technique. As an extension of the chain stitch Karen will demonstrate the backstitch to create delicate and sharp points for leafs and other pointed designs. The base fabric is sheer silk organza. The below project kit will be the piece worked on in the class.
