Tambour beading classes
My wonderful little parcel of Tambour hooks arrived from France last week.
They are the daintiest tools. Sculpted wooden handles topped with brass fittings that house the fine cornelli needles.
They have arrived for the Tambour beading classes that I will be teaching.
I will be teaching Introduction to Tambour Beading at the Fashion & Textile Gallery in August 2010 http://www.ftgallery.com.au/.
A brief historical introduction will begin the class and then the techniques of preparing your fabric on the frame followed by hook turning directions and then finally attempting the chain stitch that is the one of the main features of the French Tambour stitch. I hope to see you there!
