Tambour Beading at The Sewing Room

How exciting it is to be teaching Tambour Beading at The Sewing Room on Saturday 14th August 2010

The traditional Art of French Tambour is a 18^th Century chain stitching and beading technique used to embellish haute couture fashion.

This one day weekend work shop explains the technique, its history, and its relevance in modern fashion.

You will learn the basics: how to prepare your fabric on the frame, hook turning directions and you will also be introduced to the chain stitch using polyester thread. This first class is a technique based class.
