Beaded adornments for up coming classes

Wow I finally finished my paisley shaped beaded adornment that I will use for my classes at Fibre Arts Ballarat in 2011. I had so much fun inventing this one. It is an eclectic mix of beads and simple embroidery stitches couching down ornate metal shapes. I used beads that are wrapped in fine silk filament and are a glossy eastern looking bead. Wrapping dyed raffia strands around button shapes, covering buttons with crochet and netting really got me moving on this piece. I could not get it finished quick enough! But finished it is and with the silk under fabric frayed at the edges this piece is the beginning of many more interesting shaped adorned pieces.
